We Don’t Change . . . We Heal
Episode Seven of the podcast “Concrete Mama” includes an eye-opening summary of new programs enthusiastically embraced by inmates, staff, and administrators at the Washington State Penitentiary.
Rachel Kjack, a Walla Walla native, explains how she became a teacher at WSP and was transformed by that experience. It led her to become the CEO of Unincarcerated Productions and an executive producer of “Concrete Mama.” She strongly encourages Walla Walla community members to become volunteers at WSP.
We’ll hear from other Walla Walla residents about their relationships with the prison, and hear insights from three senior administrators of the Washington State Department of Corrections.
