Watershed Resiliency Plan workshop

  • Walla Walla Public Library 238 East Alder Street Walla Walla, WA, 99362 (map)

All ages are welcome at the workshop and encouraged to drop in at any time during the event. The workshop will feature family-friendly activities and interactive stations to learn about key Watershed Resiliency Plan content. Pizza, snacks, and beverages will be available for attendees.

Mill Creek provides 85–90% of Walla Walla’s drinking water and is vulnerable to wildfire, which can affect water quality, recreation, and salmon habitat. The Watershed Resiliency Plan aims to protect clean water, ecosystems, and strengthen the community’s ability to adapt to future challenges.

The Plan is a collaboration with local, state, federal, and Tribal partners to safeguard Walla Walla’s water supply. It focuses on improving infrastructure, emergency response, and long-term watershed resilience. Drafting is underway and expected to be finalized in 2026.
