2025 Candidate filing begins at 8:00am on Monday, May 5 and closes at 5:00pm on Friday, May 9. Candidates may electronically submit declarations of candidacy through the State’s website at:

https://voter.votewa.gov/candidatefiling/candidatelogin.aspx

In addition, candidates may file in-person at the Elections Office, 315 W. Main St., Room 203 or by mail. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

If a fee is required, the electronic filing is not complete until the fee is received. The fee must be received by 5:00 pm on Friday, May 9th, 2025 (WAC 434-208-060). Credit Card payments will be accepted through the online filing process. Filing Fees are NOT refundable.

Mayor races and city council races in Walla Walla, College Place, Waitsburg and Prescott are up for election this year in Walla Walla County. District Seat 1 is up for election in the Walla Walla Port Commission. School board director positions are also up for election in local school districts. So are commissioners in fire protection, parks and recreation, water, cemetery and hospital districts. For a complete list visit the County’s Election Office website.
