Beneficial Fire on the Landscape

WWCCD and partnering organizations are hosting a free community event focused on forest health management practices, historic fire regimes, how fire impacts nearby communities, and the ecological benefits of fire on the landscape. The event will feature three panelists sharing their expertise on forest health management. The event will also include several breakout sessions where attendees can discuss these topics together.

Attendees can expect to learn about:

  • Historical conditions within the Blue Mountains 

  • Landscape-level wildfire preparation 

  • Potential forest treatment options for more resilient landscapes.
