Walla Walla County Commission

Feb 12

11:00AM     County Commissioners  Meeting

Notes by Clint Reyn, Citizen Reporter

During the comment period several people commented about excessive speeding in their areas. Most today were from the Tamaurson Road area. Last week there were several comments from Gose Road area of excessive speeding and racing. Last week Gunner spoke of his excessive speeding in his area. It seems like the complaints have been increasing over the last several months. Commenters are complaining that nothing is being done about the speeding despite their complaints.

Gunner said the Walla Walla Police Department and the Walla Walla County Sheriffs are Not in the Speeding/Traffic Control business. College Place Police Department does do Speeding/Traffic Control and has much less speeding in the College Place area, and the Washington State Patrol also does Speeding/Traffic control.

Three following Projects were discussed under County Commissioners

Action Agenda Items:

6) Proposal 2026 02-09 ECON DEV-County-1 Approval of County of Walla Walla expending funds from the County’s portion of the Economic Development Sales Tax Funds for Fishhook Park Road Mile post 0.00 to 1.40 Project has been tabled due to lack of agreement by commissioners on design questions and on how to fund this project.
